In 1991 Ben and his wife Elizabeth founded Missionary Ventures Canada,
an organization that builds schools, hospitals, orphanages, and feeding
centers in Central America using local volunteers. Since 1994 Ben has
traveled to Romania many times doing mission work and recently formed
Hands For Humanity. |

joined our Leadership Conference Team that went to Constanta,
Romania April 19-30. He challenged 100 church leaders to

has been married to Ben for over 20 years. They have four children; Krystal (17), Daniel (15), Joshua (14), and Jonathan (12).

The basic job of the board is to DIRECT and PROTECT. The board directs the affairs of the organization and protects the interests of its members. To accomplish this effectively, our board has developed governing policies in four areas: |

Corporate Ends refers to the results expected to be seen by the world. This includes development of a strategic plan. |
|
|
Board Operations is about how the board itself functions - how it makes decisions, when it meets, how it communicates with the donors. |
|
|
Board/Staff Relations and Reporting focuses on the communication system between the board
and the senior management. |

Staff Operations is the area of responsibility that the board has to ensure that staff do not go beyond the boundaries deemed critical to the organization. |

Born
in England. He trained as a Psychologist/ Art Therapist, working in
psychiatric hospitals in Bristol and Ipswich until emigrating to Canada in
1978 with his wife Marija ( Born in Yugoslavia) and 4 children.
After
working as a group home parent and associate director of a large home
for troubled adolescents, he moved into farming and managing over 20
farms, eventually becoming I.T.
Manager for the same company.
He
has been involved in short term missions for 6 years having led numerous trips to Guatemala and Brazil. He
served as a
director Missionary Ventures Canada and volunteer staff member for more than
7 years. |
